Primary 3 and 4
👩🏫 Who’s in Primary 3 & 4?
In our Primary 3 and 4 classroom, there’s never a dull moment!
- Mrs. Blackstock brings the fun on Mondays and Tuesdays
- Mrs. Parkhill adds her sparkle from Wednesday to Friday
- And all week long, we’re supported by the wonderful Mrs. Small, always ready with a helping hand and a big smile!
Together, our P3 and P4 pupils make an amazing team—learning, laughing, and supporting each other every day. It’s a happy, buzzing classroom full of creativity, kindness, and curiosity! 💡💛
📚 What’s Class Time Like?
Our days are packed with fun, hands-on learning across all areas of the curriculum:
🔢 Numeracy – We’re mastering number bonds, quick recall facts, and exploring 2D and 3D shapes through creative, practical activities.
🌍 World Around Us (W.A.U.) – Our topic is “All About Shelters”, where we’re discovering different types of homes, comparing rural and urban living, and learning about our local area.
✏️ Literacy – We love phonics and spelling games, and we’re learning to write clear instructions through exciting tasks. A class favourite? Making hot chocolate by following our own instructions—yum! ☕
📖 Encouraging Future Readers
Our P3 and P4 pupils are doing an amazing job working towards their Accelerated Reader (A.R.) targets!
- Each child has a personal reading goal
- They explore a wide range of exciting books
- When they reach their target, they’re invited to a Reading Celebration Party! 🎉📚
We’re so proud of our brilliant readers and grateful to our wonderful parents for supporting reading at home. Together, we’re helping every child become a confident and enthusiastic reader!
🤝 Outside the Classroom – Shared Education
Our P3 and P4 pupils are loving their Shared Education experiences with our friends from St Columba’s Primary School!
🚌 We kicked things off with a fantastic trip to Alley Cats Soft Play, where we had loads of fun getting to know each other.
🎭 Now, we’re enjoying weekly workshops in:
- Dance
- I.C.T.
- Sport
Each session is filled with laughter, teamwork, and new friendships. It’s a brilliant way to learn new skills and connect with others!
